Aug 17, 2023Dunfermline Pipe Band to join Dougie MacLean at the Alhambra
DUNFERMLINE Pipe Band will be joining legendary Scottish singer-songwriter Dougie MacLean at the Alhambra Theatre.
The city band received a visit from the Caledonia singer earlier this month in preparation for the show this Saturday, September 2.
They practice at the British Legion on New Row and provide performances for events such as ceilidhs, weddings and festivals.
For almost 50 years Dougie has played across the world, from Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall to Carnegie Hall in New York, London's Festival Theatre and Sydney Opera House.
He said: “I’m so looking forward to my concert at the Alhambra in September!
"It’s one of those venues which still has that ‘old theatre’ feel, with the proscenium arch over the stage and seating in layers, up to ‘the gods, where even a big audience feels close."
Dougie MacLean will be performing in Dunfermline on September 2 at 7.30pm.
Tickets are available from the Alhambra's Kingsgate Centre Box Office or via Ticketmaster.
